How to make fridge art

By Natalie Sprite - Posted on 14 July 2011

Information for people wanting to paint their own fridges independently:

  • Thoroughly clean down fridge using Jiff/cleaning stuff. Wipe dry.
  • Paint: You can use those amazing Graffitti Spray paints that Carol Phayer sells at Art Warehouse. They are about the same price as ordinary spray paints that you buy at Bunnings etc, but THEY DON'T RUN when you spray them! Also come in beautiful fluoro colours etc. You can spray tinted backgrounds with the sprays, then work in detail with small pots of enamel paint, available at Bunnings. These will be permanent, not flake off and will look stunning.
  • You can use acrylic water based paints, but these won't last in the long term. May be safer though if working with children.
